New Month, New Goals – Nutrition November

Wow!  Where did October go?  It seemed to fly right by me!  Unfortunately, other than preparing the house for our soon-to-come new addition, I didn’t accomplish much.  Why?  Truthfully I hadn’t set any goals.

I could whine, and I could complain about my lack of accomplishment last month, but I won’t.  I will simply learn from it.  Take two steps forward instead of always looking back.

So here’s what I’m going to do instead (and I strongly urge you to do it too):

I’m creating new goals for this new month!

Fitness/exercise goals are pretty much out of the question for me because as I write this post, I’m 38 weeks 4 days pregnant.  Yep – I could give birth ANY DAY!  (Both of my daughters were already born by this point in preganancy!)

So I’m setting new nutrition goals – I’m calling this month NUTRITION NOVEMEBER.

Here are my goals:

  1. 7-8 servings of fruits and veggies every day (this means I have to start with my very first meal of the day to get them all in).
  2. 60 oz of water/day (I seriously haven’t been drinking enough now that I’m home on maternity leave).
  3. No more candy/chips/chocolate bars/baked goods (I have been insane with my lack of self-control this past month).
  4. Try 1 new recipe each week (I promise I’ll even share the recipe with you in a “Food Friday” post).

I’ll leave my goals at only 4 because as Ive learned before, new babies are a lot of work.  I may have my hands very, very full soon!

Will you join me in NUTRITION NOVEMBER?  If so, what are your goals?  I’d love to hear them!

If you liked this post, say thanks by sharing it:

I love the idea of Nutrition November!! One of my goals this month is to eat greens 5 days a week. I love spinach & kale but I want to expand my repertoire and try some new-to-me greens. :-)
