Wow! Where did October go? It seemed to fly right by me! Unfortunately, other than preparing the house for our soon-to-come new addition, I didn’t accomplish much. Why? Truthfully I hadn’t set any goals.
I could whine, and I could complain about my lack of accomplishment last month, but I won’t. I will simply learn from it. Take two steps forward instead of always looking back.
So here’s what I’m going to do instead (and I strongly urge you to do it too):
I’m creating new goals for this new month!
Fitness/exercise goals are pretty much out of the question for me because as I write this post, I’m 38 weeks 4 days pregnant. Yep – I could give birth ANY DAY! (Both of my daughters were already born by this point in preganancy!)
So I’m setting new nutrition goals – I’m calling this month NUTRITION NOVEMEBER.
Here are my goals:
- 7-8 servings of fruits and veggies every day (this means I have to start with my very first meal of the day to get them all in).
- 60 oz of water/day (I seriously haven’t been drinking enough now that I’m home on maternity leave).
- No more candy/chips/chocolate bars/baked goods (I have been insane with my lack of self-control this past month).
- Try 1 new recipe each week (I promise I’ll even share the recipe with you in a “Food Friday” post).
I’ll leave my goals at only 4 because as Ive learned before, new babies are a lot of work. I may have my hands very, very full soon!
Will you join me in NUTRITION NOVEMBER? If so, what are your goals? I’d love to hear them!

Forward to a friend
I love the idea of Nutrition November!! One of my goals this month is to eat greens 5 days a week. I love spinach & kale but I want to expand my repertoire and try some new-to-me greens.
