If you have been following my Road to Boston 2016 posts, you’ll know that I’ve been struggling with my appetite. I’ve been eating very well for my breakfast (I usually have a strawberry/banana protein smoothie or quinoa flakes with a touch of honey), and I’ve also been eating well at lunch (I usually have a spinach salad with tuna or salmon, greek yogurt and an apple), but dinner is where I completely fall apart. By the end of the day I am completely RUNGRY!
When you are so hungry from your long run or your increase in mileage that you must eat.every.single.thing!
When I get home from a long day at work and training I have great intentions of cooking great dinners for myself and the family, but the low calorie dinners that I want to eat, are the same ones that my kids and husband turn their noses up at. Feeling tired and RUNgry, I instead just settle for eating whatever the hubby and kids are having: Baked chicken strips, fries and raw veggies, pizza, etc.
Thankfully, I found the solution:
They’re portion controlled as they provide just the right amount of protein, grains and vegetables, are very easy to prepare, affordable and are very very tasty!
This is the glazed chicken with whole grain cranberry pilaf that I had after work on Thursday:
And this is the grilled chicken and vegetables with rigatoni in an herb sauce:
The best part is that I can earn rewards for eating lean!
It was really easy! I just entered PINs found inside my favourite Lean Cuisine products at: http://www.leancuisine.ca/en/
The more Lean Cuisines I enjoy, the more I earn!
The Rewards program just sweetens the deal for me. I can collect points from every Lean Cuisine I buy, and can reward myself right away with low entry items including a coupon for a free Lean Cuisine entrée, or I can redeem my points for larger Rewards such as an exercise ball, weights and home appliances. (I really want the weights to use at home). I can also earn my way to free groceries with gift card rewards!
Here’s a few of the items you can earn:
I earned 100 points for signing up, and another 250 points for each of my Lean Cuisines so far, so I’m now at 600 points – well on my way to earning myself a free movie pass so I can take the hubby out for a much needed date night! With my lean eating he’s sure to find me irresistible too *wink*.
As a member of the rewards program, I can take advantage of all that Lean Cuisine has to offer, including:
- Creating a customized meal plan;
- Earning points with every entrée purchased;
- Redeeming for fabulous rewards, and
- Enjoying exclusive offers & contests!

Question: Do you find yourself RUNgry at the end of the day too?
