I have a confession….
I’m an emotional eater. Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â I eat when I’m lonely, bored, sad and angry. Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â When I’m feeling emotional I’ll pretty much overeat on anything sweet, salty or crunchy that I can get my hands on.
Yesterday I was feeling rather lonely. Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â Hubs has been working a TON lately, and he’ll be away on business all this week. I really MISS him – I miss his companionship… A LOT!
So I overate .
I ate an entire 2lb bag of…..
Now some people might say I should get a handle on my emotional eating and my triggers. Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â To journal my thoughts and feelings… blah… blah… blah…
Whatever. That’s not a realistic solution *for me*.
Did you know that 2lbs of carrots is only 300 calories? Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â OK, so that sounds like quite a bit, but when you consider HOW FULL I feel now and how I don’t really think I can fit anymore in, then 300 calories isn’t so bad, now is it?
Especially in comparison to:
- 2lbs of chicken wings = 2, 424 calories
- 2lbs cool ranch potato chips = 4,800 calories
- Apple slices
- navel oranges
