Happy Monday everyone!! How was your weekend?
Up here in Southern Ontario (Canada) it was gorgeous! Partly sunny and WARM! As in so warm that I was able to run in a T-shirt on Sunday! Checking back on my schedule I was supposed to run 12k on Sunday but it was so gorgeous out that I took my husband up on his challenge to me: he dared me to run over to the Niagara Escarpment (steep slope as a result of erosion from the ice age), run UP it, then run back DOWN it, and run home. I did it – but man am I ever sore today!!
All in all I had a fantastic running week and ran 36km. It feels great to be running and training for something again! Oh how I love training.
This week I’ll begin to mix in one cycle and one swim into my mix of workouts to begin training for the triathlons that I mentioned in goals post last week. I’m not that fond of swimming, but my friend Debra is so she’s promised to drag my a$$ to the pool and make me work every Friday night. I had to talk to my hubby about that because Friday nights are usually our movie night together. 10 years ago when I did the Olympic and sprint triathlons I was in FANTASTIC shape, so hubby was very happy that I’ve decided to get back into Tri shape again.

Monday: Nike Training Club workout before work, spinning at lunch
Tuesday: 6k run at lunch
Thursday: 6k run at lunchFriday: 8k run at lunch, Swimming after the kids go to bed
Sunday: 14k run
Looking at my weekly plan, it’s really no wonder I was in kick butt shape when I was doing tri’s, and I can’t wait to get back there!
