Hi everyone!
This is my Mamavation Monday post for November 21, 2011.
I have an announcement… I am officially in MAINTENANCE MODE!! When I started this journey in January, I was 25lbs heavier than I am now. Yeah! Holy crapola I’m 3-4 sizes smaller than I was before I got pregnant with Amber! This means that I have to figure out how to STAY here and STOP the yo-yoing that I’ve been doing over the past 7 yrs. I think the key will being staying active though the winter and the holidays.
So…. I need a holiday plan of attack….
- Stick as close to my training plans as possible (thankfully my family now knows that the greatest gift to me is a 30 min solo run, so they won’t stand in my way).
- Pack my lunches and pack snacks so that I don’t have blood sugar crashes.
- Eat a small meal with protein before attending Christmas parties.
- Drink water instead of alcohol at parties – I’ll snack less and I won’t wake up feeling shitty.
- Say NO to sugar – sugar is my downfall, if I have ANY I’m a snack-a-saurus all.day.long
Here are my training ACCOMPLISHMENTS from this past week:
Monday: Spinning class at the gym with my co-worker
Tuesday: 5k easy run at a 6:32/km pace
Wednesday: BodyPump
Thursday: 8k Tempo run (easy 1.5k warm up, 5k @ 5;33/km, easy 1.5k cool down)
Friday: 5k easy run at a 6:32/km pace The kids had a PA Day from school, so they came and met me for lunch at the mall with hubby
Saturday: BodyPump Went to the salon and got my hair hi-lighted and “trimmed” (why is it that my hair dressers idea of a “trim” more closely resembles a “CHOP”!
Sunday: 11k long run at a 6:32/km pace with two girlfriends
Here’s a picture of the new haircut:
(OK – as much as I complain about the CHOP I must admit that it looks much more sophisticated this way)
Here’s my PLAN for next week:
Monday: Spinning class at the gym with my co-worker
Tuesday: 5k easy run at a 6:32/km pace
Wednesday: BodyPump
Thursday: Speed track workout 2k warmup & cooldown, 2 x 1 mile in 8:27 min, 800m recovery jog
Friday: 5k easy run at a 6:32/km pace
Saturday: BodyPump
Sunday: 11k long run at a 6:32/km pace with two girlfriends
