Mamavation Monday

How was your week last week? Did your drink your water? Get your beauty sleep? And eat your 7-8 servings of fruits and veggies? (Remember: fruit and veggies are chock full of fiber!).

This past week was full of it’s usual busy-ness.  I worked, I walked, I played, I walked some more.  I walked 15km this week, bringing my preggo total to: 488.5km!!  I’m almost there!

I had my 34 week Midwife appointment – my blood pressure is back to being low, better than being too high, but also has it’s own set of complications.  Baby is growing well – still measuring a week ahead.  My next appointment is at 36 weeks, then I go weekly until our newest bundle of joy decides it’s time to join the family.  Hubby and I continued to nest and get things ready for the baby – the baby room is all done and my hospital bag is 3/4 of the way packed (the clothes are washed and piled – just not in the bag yet).

The weeks are flying by!  I’m 10 days away from when I gave birth to my oldest daughter!  Yes, she was early – but wow!  There’s a full-sized baby in me!  You know what?  I STILL feel awesome!  The good food, exercise etc… AMAZING!

So amazing that I offered to walk the CIBC Run for the Cure 5K with my cousin in memory of our grandma who died of breast cancer in 2002:

Today we walked 5K together in under an hour – I felt great, except the fact that I had to go washroom by the end of the walk.  An hour is a LONG time when you’re preggo!

So here’s a summary of what I accomplished this week:
Monday: Walked around the mall to buy much needed baby stuff (nursing pads, nursing bras, lasinoh etc…)
Tuesday: Couldn’t workout at lunch because I had my midwife appointment.
Wednesday: Did my Walk and Tone mp3 Workout
Thursday: Did my Walk and Tone mp3 Workout
Friday: Did my Walk and Tone mp3 Workout
Saturday: Rest/clean my house.
Sunday: CIBC Run for the Cure 5k

      Thanks Kimberly! I’ve learned a lot too! I wonder why more docs don’t encourage women to stay active during pregnancy? I bet a lot of complications could be avoided if they were educated more on nutrition and exercise. I know my last 2 pregnancies would have been better if I knew…l

    I’m so excited for you!!! I had a midwife, but I also had a homebirth. It was more like a BIRTH DAY PARTY, then actually giving birth. My son will be 11 in a few weeks.
    Anyways, I like how you listed your activities by day on your blog. I might have to snatch that idea up from you.
    xo to Grandma Luke, I wonder if my father and her have met in heaven.
    Sierra is such a cutie! My son insists on singing the subway eat fresh jingle every single time we stand in line at subway. Yeah, it’s fantastic!

    that picture is too cute thanks for sharing it, its great that you did that great cause while preggies my mom is a cancer survivor as are two of my friends. I’ve done a few relay for life in the past and i’ve enjoyed each one of them, each time i walk longer the first time was just an hour 2nd one i did 2 seperate hours.

    Woohoo mama!! You are doing an amazing job. You said you deliver early and it could happen so it is nice to read that you still feel great.

    As an FYI I could not link directly over here from the mamavation page link. I think that is why you have such a low turnout for comment love. I mean you know we all love you but we can be lazy if the link does not work. ;)
