Motivation Monday: Consistency is the Key to Success

Happy Monday everyone!

Today is a holiday here in Canada, which gives me an extra day to spend with my little girls together at a Pirate Festival – I can’t wait! But first let’s get on with my weekly Motivation Monday post we’re I share my training accomplishments and my plan for next week (I do this mostly to keep myself accountable).


Last week I was very consistent with my training! This is a big deal because I’ve been struggling with that for quite a while, in fact it seems like every Monday I’ve been coming up with excuses/reasons why I missed training workouts. FINALLY it all came together and I’m pretty proud of this week’s results:

Monday: 50 min lunch spinning class
Tuesday: 6k lunch run
Wednesday: BodyPump class (in which I attempted to lift more weight for every single track than normal)
Thursday: 50 min lunch spinning class
Friday: 8k lunch run
Saturday: BodyPump & 20 min of laps in the pool
Sunday: REST/Nature walk with the kiddos

This week is a solo parenting week which, save for the next 2 Saturday’s, will last until Aug. 25th so I’ll have to do a lot of RUNching. My triathlon is 4 weeks away now, so I’m going to have to take the next 3 weeks of training seriously, and stay consistent. I did our meal planning and grocery shopping on Saturday, so we’re fully stocked with a ton of healthy meal and snack options. Here’s this week’s training plan:

Monday: 5k run with the kiddos (Sierra rides her bike while I push Brooke & Amber), 30 min swimming laps
Tuesday: 6k lunch run
Wednesday: BodyPump class
Thursday: 50 min lunch spinning class
Friday: 8k lunch run
Saturday: BodyPump & 20 min of laps in the pool
Sunday: REST

    That’s right, consistency is crucial!! I love BODYPUMP!! I have the BeachBody Program, Pump and incorporate it as often as I can, 3x a week for my strength training, the squats and lunges always get me good!! Way to go on your routine!
