Live Active, Eat Healthy, Enjoy Life

For many many months now I’ve contemplated about what direction I want to take with this little ol’ blog. I couldn’t figure out if I should I continue posting “How-to” articles? Or should I share with you my own personal fitness journey?  One thing was clear – I needed a change to motivate myself to keep writing and to continue my fitness journey.

I then stumbled upon a blogging e-book called “The Simple Blogging E-Book“.  I began to work through it, a few pages at a time, and brainstormed my blogging goals.  The book forced me to stop and ask myself some tought questions: Who am I? And what do *I* like to write about?  What kind of posts do I enjoy writing the most?  The answer was simple:

I like to write about me – the things I do, the places I go, the experiences I have with my family.  

When I started blogging here I was in a different place in my life. I wasn’t as secure, I was battling postpartum depression, and I was using the blog to force myself to think positive thoughts.  I thought that I needed to lose weight – I wasn’t happy with who I was.  Since then my focus has changed. I’ve changed.  I’m so much more secure.  I’ve learned that the more active I am, and the healthier I eat, the more I enjoy life and the size of my jeans doesn’t matter.

I almost quit blogging (but that thought lasted all of 2 minutes) and I decided to continue to blog here.  But the focus is changing:

Live Active

I’m going to write about our day-to-day activities – both mine and my daughters.  My training, their sports etc. How we live active.

Eat Healthy

I’m going to share what we eat on a day-to-day basis.  It won’t always be healthy but it will be the truth.  I’m hoping that by sharing my day-to-day eats I’ll be more accountable.  

And finally…

Enjoy Life

I’m going to share with you the ups, the downs and everything in between – though I do hope that there are way more ups than downs :)

      Me too! That’s exactly why I’m changing – if I find my own posts boring, then certainly everyone else does too :)
