I’m so excited that you are visiting me from the Ultimate Blog Party 2011! This is my first blog party, so I’m not really sure what to write, so let me start off by telling you a little about me, my family, and my blog:

I’m Janice, otherwise known as “The Fitness Cheerleader”. I have an extreme passion for health and exercise that started when I was very young. I played numerous sports in my youth, never really settling on one favourite sport – that’s because I love to MOVE. I’m an endorphin junkie and I’m not afraid to admit it. Unfortunately, with three daughters, and a husband who travels a lot for work, I no longer have the time for team sports. Instead I get my endorphin fix by playing “Fitness Class” with the kids, and by running (usually with a jogging stroller, while my oldest bikes along with me).

I strongly believe that as moms, we are the role-model for our families – we lead by example. We are also the #1 influencer of what our families eat. If kids are hungry enough they will eat anything, so if we keep fruits and veggies in our homes they will eat it.

That’s what my blog is about – leading by example and encouraging others to do the same. I share motivation and ways we can incorporate health & fitness into our daily lives ie: nutrition info, healthy recipes, product reviews, fitness tools, tips, motivation, polls and a weekly health news round up. Id love for you to stick around with me so we can work together to inspire each other to fitness and health.

    I want to win because I want the coaching, honestly. My ultimate fitness goal is to get my BMI into normal range and my BFI under 25. I’ve lost 33 lb since Jan1st, and have another 45lb to go. I am unable to sweat, which makes getting fit a challenge- not impossible- just a challenge. I’ve watched your tweets, and appreciate your approach. I want to have the energy to run and chase my kids, and to be able to go down a ridiculously slender tube slide with my son.
