Who’s Going to Shred With Me?

Alright – it’s been 11 weeks since I last worked out, and it’s finally time for me to get my sweat on! My family is going to be VERY thankful that I’ve decided that I’m ready to get active :)

But where should I start? My body hasn’t quite recovered enough from having baby Amber to go out and crank out a 10 k run… That’s where the Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred DVD comes in – and I want YOU to do it with me!

WHAT’S “THE SHRED”?

Jillian Michaels’ 30 Day Shred is an awesome workout DVD that “they” say begins to show a difference in your body in about 5 days. Basically, the workout operates under the principle of muscle confusion, which means your development will not plateau, and you will see results fast. Muscles get accustomed to repetitive work-outs very quickly but work-outs like the 30 Day Shred use muscle confusion to tone and slim your body quickly and efficiently, and the end result is supposedly undeniably amazing.

The DVD is three levels to be done over the course of 30 days. Level 1 of the workout should be done for 10 days, Level 2 for 10, and Level 3 for 10. I started Level 1 yesterday.

LET’S FIND OUT IF “THE SHRED” WORKS!

I’ve taken my measurements and the dreaded “before” pic – though my goal is not to lose weight or get super buff – I just want to be active regularly and to have fun! (I’ll share my pic with you later, right now I’m one handed typing with Amber on my lap).

Things You’ll Need to “SHRED” With Me:

  • Jillian Michaels’ 30 Day Shred DVD (or you can see it online for FREE here: The Shred)
  • 3 or 5 lb. dumbbells (free weights)

    I wish I could grab a copy of this workout dvd because I really can feel that I am not feeling good and I am not being healthy anymore. I seldom feel the pain in my chest and I am getting worried because of this.
