Well before I even had kids I began using my one hour lunch breaks from work to sneak away to the GoodLife gym across the street from my work. I then changed jobs, and again, I lifted weights on my lunches at another GoodLife location, and trained for marathons and half-marathons before or after work. (Mostly after because even back then I wasn’t great at waking up early). Then hubby and I moved to a small town, and I got a new job in an industrial complex which was nowhere near a gym, and since hubby and I were carpooling, I couldn’t even drive to a gym.
Enter the #runch.
#Runch – a quick run squeezed in over lunch break
For 7 of the past 12 years I have spent my lunch breaks running or working out one way or another. I’m not a morning person (did I ever tell how funny my husband thought it was that I had to be at that Ride for Heart 2 months ago at 6 am?) and save for races, I don’t often see the sunny-side of 7 am. I just can’t get up early, no matter how early I go to bed.
Oh How I Love Me Some #Runch!
The lunch run – ahhhhhhh what would I do without it? My poor co-workers and family wouldn’t stand a chance in trying to tame my grumps if it weren’t for #Runch time. Thank goodness my employer is so amazing and flexible!!
When do you workout?
