Getting and Staying Healthy is Sexy!!

And these ladies are the proof!

Here are three of my blogging friends that I find incredibly sexy and AWESOME!!

This is AMY from Running Escapades:

What makes her healthy and sexy?

She stays active:
Where ever I am, no matter what time of the year, I am moving. Running, biking, swimming, snow shoeing, ice skating, walking, you name it. I have a vigor for life and I like to try new things.

She eats a balanced diet:
 I know what is good for me and what isn’t without having to obsess over labels. I don’t avoid dessert or deprive myself of the fun foods. I eat what I want in moderation. Indulge but not over-indulge.

And most importantly….

She keeps a positive attitude:
I am who I am. My belly isn’t flat, my bones don’t stick out, the scale doesn’t display the perfect weight, but I feel good. Feels good = looks good. I’m happy.

(Amy ran her second half marathon on Sunday – so go congratulate her!)

This is WENDY from The Weight is Over - I think she’s incredibly sexy because she’s getting healthier!

Wendy!

Wendy has been working on getting healthier- not skinnier- for nearly 6 months now. Yes, she’s lost weight, nearly 25 pounds, 2/3 sizes,and many inches! BUT she’s also lowered her blood glucose levels to a high normal weight from nearly diabetic state, and lowered her cholesterol to healthy levels, too. She’s increased her strength and endurance from being barely able to walk to the end of the street, to walking 5ks! Her family no longer drinks any kind of soda, eats way more vegetables and fruits, and  she’s eating clean rather than processed, reading labels every time she shops. She healthier,and will only get more healthy as her journey continues!  Getting healthier is sexy!

And last, but certainly not least, is my sexy pal RACHEL from Running Rachel:

Enjoying outdoor activities such as running, walking, hiking and biking (either solo or with my family) keeps her healthy. Not only do these activities help keep her heart, lungs and body healthy, but she says they also keep her brain alert and elevate her mood.

I find that when I get physical activity in (at some point) during the day I am not only healthier… but happier also! Staying active with physical activities keeps me healthy and happy. :)

Healthy comes in many shapes, sizes and weights.  Anyone can be healthy – and these healthy ladies are certainly SEXY!

    THANK YOU for that wonderful reminder! I’ve been doing the C25K program, plus strength training 5-6 days/week since January, and while I haven’t really seen the scale budge much, your post was a great reminder that I AM getting stronger and healthier!! I can see progress, and I FEEL so much better. I was in the midst of getting frustrated that I couldn’t achieve anything close to the picture in your previous post, and today’s post just put back in the right frame of mind. Again – THANK YOU! Have a great weekend!
