August Healthy Living/Fitness Blogger Writing Challenge

Last night I was brainstorming blog topics in order to put together an editorial calendar for the month of August. Then, as I reviewed my topic list, I realised I’m not likely the only healthy living/fitness blogger out there who struggles to come up with blog post ideas (am I?), and since I haven’t organised a challenge in quite a while, I thought I’d challenge you all to something a little different – to blog everyday for a month!

Here’s what you do:

  1. Add a new post to your blog (there’s a list of suggested topics below in case you get stuck)
  2. Share your post in my comments for that day.
  3. Read, comment & share others’ posts.
  4. Rinse, lather and repeat for each day of the month.

Simple? Easy?

    I have been taking this challenge since July, it really motivates me to do at least something so I have something to write about. So far, so good!

    Top 5 workout songs:
    1. Walkin on Water – Lecrae cuz the lyrics make you feel like you could actually walk on water!
    2. Don’t Wait – Addison Road – the beat pushes me and inspires me
    3. World Hold On – Bob Sinclair this has been a favorite for years that I keep on rotation!
    4. Shake, Break Bounce – Chemical Brothers another hard hitter than makes burpees and Spiderman pushups feel like dance moves
    5. No The Cambio – Funky cuz who can resist a reggaeton beat this sick?!?!

    Great idea! Thinking about doing it, but committing to posting every day is tough for me ;)
    It really sounds interesting – do you think anyone would get annoyed by all of these short posts daily? I’m new to the blogging world, so don’t really know proper blog etiquette!

      Good questions! Every blog’s audience is different, but I do find that a regular posting schedule helps readers to know when they might expect a new post to read. You could participate on Mon/Wed/Fri if you like or on any other schedule that works for you and your blog. Glad to have you join us!

    This is a great idea! & I just told myself that I needed to get on my workout game starting in August and this is the perfect way to do it! Cant wait to get started!!!

    oh Janice, your timing is brilliant! I am at this weird junction in my fitness/healthy living journey and working to find my fit/place in it all. This challenge looks like a good way to explore on many levels!
