First off I can’t believe that it’s almost mid-April… How did that happen? (In 3 months from today I’ll be FORTY! Yikes!) Spring is starting to happen here in Southern Ontario. The snow has melted, the days are no longer freezing cold, and the April showers that bring May flowers have started. In other words my world is a brown mess of dead grass and puddles.

That said, things around here have been pretty relaxing. Sierra, Brooke and Hubby’s hockey seasons are now over. The winter swimming lessons for the girls are also winding down. Sierra and Amber’s lessons finished last night (neither one passed their level), and Brooke’s will finish up next Monday. It’s like the calm before the storm when it comes to sports for us – we’ll have EVERY week night free for a few weeks! Our weekends will have just one activity as Amber’s skating lessons start up this Sunday. She has been anxiously waiting to learn how to skate all winter because she wants to play hockey just like daddy and her sisters….

In two weeks from now Sierra’s rep softball try outs will start up. There are three try out sessions, then after that the house league softball season will start for her and Miss Brooke. I volunteered to be an assistant coach for Sierra’s team – I can’t wait! Then shortly after softball starts Amber’s soccer will start and hubby will be coaching her team.
My grandma was a catcher, my dad was a catcher, I caught, and now my oldest daughter catches.
It must be in her blood or something…
This past Monday hubby and I celebrated our 11th wedding anniversary. I cannot believe that 11 years have flown by so fast! Our wedding in Vegas was amazing and it was the best decision of my life!
Was that really 11 years ago?!?
And since I’ve shared photos of everyone except Brooke I kind of feel obligated to share some of her news. She lost her fourth tooth last week so now all she wants for Christmas are her two front teeth:
I’m seriously in awe of how fast the adult teeth come in to fill the hole!
So yeah, that’s pretty much all of our news lately. It’s a quiet time of the year for everyone so I’m taking advantage of it by sneaking in some extra strength workouts and training hard for July’s 1/2 Ironman.
What’s new with you?!?
