Today is the first Saturday of the month which means that today is the Ultimate Coffee Date, so I’m linking up with Lynda, Coco and Deborah to share with you what I would share with you if you and were sitting down and having a coffee together. We’d share a coffee in my “Wish You Were Here” coffee mugs that I collect from Starbuck’s. Every time my husband goes on a business trip he brings me home a mug. My favourites are the ones from where I would LOVE to run a major marathon.
If we were having coffee…
I would tell you that I’m so happy that February is over. OK – so I’ve said it a lot lately, but I am seriously OVER winter and running in the pitch dark while wearing every single piece of running clothing I own. Hallelujah! I am so looking forward to running in shorts, not this:

That I was nominated for not one but TWO awards at work this year. I work in a larger organisation and we have annual awards that staff can nominate each other for. I’ve worked for my employer for close to 6 years and this is the first time I’ve ever been nominated for an award. What makes me the most proud is that both awards are for my work on healthy workplace related projects. The first award nomination is for Spirit – Representing my employers core value of a healthy workplace, and the second award nomination is for Team Work for the work that I did on a project that promotes healthy eating in the workplace that was very successful. I am very proud that my employer is striving to be a leader in work/life balance and encouraging employees to be healthy. In many organisations the work I do towards being healthy would be seen as unprofessional, yet at my organisation it’s actually encouraged. I really do think that it helps me to be a more engaged and productive employee when there is fresh, flavourful healthy food available to us in the cafeteria and we’re given an opportunity to get up and move during the day. There needs to be that balance. I could ramble all day on this topic because it’s something I’m so passionate about.

That I’m looking to add some more races to my race schedule. The first one is a Spring half marathon, and the other is a FUN local team running relay race, The Sears Great Canadian Run – a relay to end kids cancers. I’ll let you know more information about both of those in due time.
And finally if we were having coffee I would tell you…
That tonight I’m heading out to another fun MasterChef night with my girlfriend’s. Julie will be cooking us up a wonderful meal with the wacky ingredients we bring over to her house in the mystery box… I wonder what wacky food items we’ll come up with this time? Last time our theme was Christmas… Stay tuned and I’ll share more with you on Monday!
And that’s pretty much all I have for you this month,
what would you share with me if we were having coffee?
